Earlier today newly-formed band Marrow released a teaser for their latest project, an EP suitably titled TWO. Marrow was formed by former Kids These Days members Liam Cunningham (guitar and vocals), Macie Stewart (keys and vocals) and Lane Beckstrom (bass), adding Matt Carroll on drums. While the young members of that Chicago band had reached an impressive level of success (performing at Lollapalooza 2011 and on Conan) and critical acclaim across all sorts of media (+ being genuine POD favorites) KTD broke up earlier this year, leaving us fans anxious to hear whatever it is the reincarnations of this band’s now former members would go on to release.
In the clip you see above, we get a behind the scenes look at the band convening in a basement to work and let their creativity flow. Knowing well enough what this group of musicians was able to do in their last band, I can’t help but be excited to hear what they have in store for us next.
The band will be having their first ever headlining show on December 19 at Schubas, the same day TWO is due out (digitally and on vinyl). Tix are $10 and it’s 18+, but all ages below 18 admitted if you come with a parent (and you’ll get a free Marrow t-shirt). Passerines and Lamp will also be on the bill.
