Now that the 20th anniversary of the release of Nirvana’s In Utero, the world has gotten tons of rarely-seen material from the band that ruled the world in the early 90’s. The band has taken to Vevo to unveil a lot of great live footage of the band performing tracks from the album and earlier today we got a great batch of new clips. The one that stood out to me the most was Nirvana’s cover of the Cars’ “My Best Friend’s Girl” while out in Munich, Germany. Kurt Cobain’s vocal aren’t too far off from the original’s, but the band’s signature sound is present and gives the song a nice twist.
Other clips released include live versions of “Pennyroyal Tea,” “Drain You” and “Rape Me.” The Germany clips are a bit more crude, but the shots from Paris look great and fresh, almost like they were taken fairly recently. See those below.
