Fellow Chicagoans, Fall Out Boy, went on Conan and performed their new single “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark.” The performance not only helped promote the release of their new album, but it also doubled as a Spinal Tap tribute with an additional Simpsons connection. The band had Harry Shearer on board to help Pete Wentz on bass while they also incorporated a mini Stonehenge like in the film.
For those that may not know, the band got their name from the fictional comic book character on The Simpsons and Harry Shearer, who played bass on Spinal Tap, is also the voice of several Simpsons characters like Ned Flanders, Mr. Burns, Smithers and Principal Skinner (among others).
