“The Purple One” is back. So far this year he’s released/performed new music on Fallon, smashed The Roots’ Kirk Douglas’ guitar, and played a set at SXSW. Now, Prince has revamped his classic 80’s jam “Let’s Go Crazy,” removing the very dated synthesizer riff, slowing down the tempo and really turning it up a notch on the guitar. Not to mention he adds a section of The Edgar Winter Group’s “Fankenstein” right in the middle of it all! It sounds pretty badass and cool in its own way and not simply because it’s a rework of the original hit.
