Yeah Yeah Yeahs have a featured story with the New York Times in which they in-depth feature in which they open up about several aspects of the band’s history and future. Karen O, described by the legendary newspaper as a descendent of Freddie Mercury and David Bowie thanks to her extravagant stage antics, opened up about their knack for taking some time between releasing albums and how that has been affected by their evolution by saying: “Being in the shadow a little bit preserved us… Coming up in a real moment baptized us as special, there’s no question. But we’ve been allowed to evolve.”
The YYYs not only gave the NYT the time for the newspaper to write this story but they a also gave the readers and exclusive preview of a new track off their upcoming record called “Under the Earth.” Stream the new song here.
