After having a surprisingly amazing first half of the season, Swansea today won its first major trophy: the League Cup.
Swansea won the Capital One Cup (its sponsored name) by routing Bradford City 5-0 at historic Wembley Stadium. Nathan Dyer and Jonathan de Guzmán each scored twice and the team’s season-long talisman, Michu made the remaining goal.
Laudrup’s men gave the Welsh city of Swansea something great, a historic victory to be remembered and reveled for generations to come.
