The Chicago White Sox have officially promoted 12 year general manager Ken Williams to executive vice president of baseball operations. The Sox also promoted Rick Hahn , who has been Williams’s right hand man , to full time general manager. Hahn has frequently been mentioned as a candidate for other teams general manager positions and the White Sox are glad he decided to stay with the organization.
During the reign of Williams as the general manager for the Chicago White Sox the team made it the the playoffs twice but they did win the World Series in 2005. They also has a winning record in 9 out of the 12 seasons with Williams as the GM.
