In December in 2000 on WFMU’s The Cherry Blossom Clinic with Terre, The Strokes performed live an alternate version of what would go on to become a classic song of theirs, “Someday.” This version contains different lyrics along with a much more upbeat version of the song’s riff.
WFMU is now streaming the rest of the set which includes the majority of the band’s 2001 debut LP, Is This It: “Alone Together”, “NYC Cops”, “Soma”, “Barely Legal”, “Modern Age”, “Last Night”, “Take it or Leave it”, and “Someday”. Stream it over at WFMU’s archives.
