The Dark Knight Rises composer Hans Zimmer has released a new track, titled “Aurora,” to help raise money for victims of last weekend’s massacre in Aurora, Colorado. The song has been posted on the Facebook page of the Oscar-winning composer. The release of “‘Aurora’ is dedicated to those who lost their lives and were affected by the tragedy in Aurora, Colorado,” writes Zimmer on the post. “I recorded this song in London in the days following the tragedy as a heartfelt tribute to the victims and their families.”
The track is available for donations ranging from 10 cents to $2,500 and can be downloaded here. All proceeds will benefit the Aurora Victim Relief Organization. The track is also available for download on iTunes for $1.29.
