The legendary Three 6 Mafia made their way to Chicago last night for a near sold out show at the Metro in Wrigleyville. The show had three Chicago artists as opening acts including DJ sets from Timbuck2 and Sean Mac. GLC was the first artist to hit the stage following DJ sets. He brought out many special guests to perform with him including Chella H, Chicago duo Pokaface and Cold Hard from Crucial Conflict. GLC took it back and performed “Drive Slow,” his hit collaboration with Kanye West off of the latter’s sophomore album, Late Registration.

Mikey Rocks, of The Cool Kids, was the next artist to perform. Rocks had the support of fellow Cool Kid Chuck Inglish along with some of the guys from the Treated Crew who were with him on stage during his entire set. He would go on to perform some material off of previous projects and even debuted some new songs. YP was the next to hit the stage and was very well promoted for this show with posters for his new projects plastered all over the Metro and its surrounding areas. He kicked things off with his hit song “Who I Be” and went on to perform many other tracks including some new material.

Three 6 Mafia members Juicy J and DJ Paul made it to the stage a little bit after 1 am and went to put on one of the greatest sets I’ve seen this year. Juicy J performed a lot of his solo material that he has made since signing with Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang. There was no telling what song they were going to perform and at any giving moment they would go straight into performing some of their classic material. They performed for well over an hour and could have probably gone on for a few more had they been allowed to. Check out some of the footage we managed to capture at this very trippy show.
