As we all know, The Beastie Boys have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Honoring the induction of the Beastie Boys, Mick Boogie (check him out by clicking here! to see Mick Boogie at Beauty Bar here in Chicago a couple months ago)releases his latest mixtape project Grand Royal. For its artwork, the famed producer teamed up with renowned photographer Jonathan Mannion, who has worked with the likes of Jay-Z, Eminem, Aaliyah, Nas and more, to re-shoot the iconic cover from the Beastie’s 1989 classic Paul’s Boutique. Featured video, shot by Sasha and Roman of the amazing CNNCTD+ team, follows both men to the famous LES location where Paul’s Boutique was originally photographed and captures the live energy of the photoshoot. Grand Royal arrived yesterday, and is influenced by Mick Boogie’s three favorite Beastie Boys albums Paul’s Boutique, Check Your Head and Ill Communication. The mix contains remixes, rarities, outtakes, demos and live versions. You can download Mick Boogie’s Grand Royal simply clicking here!
