Just days after releasing new project Blk Juptr, Smino has unleashed a clip from his visit to SBTV as part of the storied platform’s “Backyard Sessions.” For his appearance on the series, the Chicago-based multi-instrumentalist opted to perform an acoustic rendition of “Oxygen” to take a stance against police brutality.
Smino stated:
“No matter what, artists have a responsibility to speak to the situations in their environment. Our environment/community is the first thing that inspires us, (good or bad) supports us and personally I cannot take that for granted.”
